Gábor Ladányi Trio

The Gábor Ladányi Trio, formed in 2019, is a vibrant ensemble that has quickly made a name for itself in the contemporary music scene. In 2022, they released their debut album, “Reborn,” which features special guest appearances by renowned musicians Roby and Tony Lakatos. Building on this success, their sophomore album, “Dusty,” was released in 2023 by Hunnia Records.

The trio exclusively performs Gábor Ladányi’s original compositions, showcasing a diverse range of sounds that convey an array of moods. Their approach to improvisation is akin to that of chamber music, where each member plays an equally significant role, creating a rich and dynamic musical dialogue.

From a young age, Gábor Ladányi has explored various musical styles, performing alongside celebrated artists. He has a solid foundation in classical music, having studied it extensively and participated in a classical guitar ensemble. His experience also includes performing with Big Bands and smaller groups, as well as collaborating with the Roby Lakatos Ensemble, where he plays different styles of gypsy music, including gypsy jazz, Balkan music, and traditional Hungarian gypsy music. Additionally, he has explored the world of pop, rock, blues, and funk music through various ensembles.

With the formation of his trio, Gábor aimed to synthesize these diverse musical influences into a cohesive project that reflects his artistic vision.

The trio is based in Brussels and features Federico Pecoraro on bass and Umberto Odone on drums. Together, they create a unique sound that resonates with audiences, bridging genres and celebrating the rich tapestry of musical traditions.
