Brückner-LadÁnyi Duo

The Brückner-Ladányi Duo shows what classical music was originally meant for: joy.
Violinist Lea Brückner and guitarist Gábor Ladányi combine classical virtuosity with stylistic openness and the freedom of improvisation. With programs such as The Living Classic, they create moving concert experiences that effortlessly transcend boundaries between eras, genres, and cultures.
Two musical worlds meet here: Lea Brückner’s roots in classical music encounter Gábor Ladányi’s roots in jazz, Gypsy jazz, Balkan music, and improvisation. Their repertoire ranges from works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Niccolò Paganini, and Arvo Pärt to Django Reinhardt and Bossa Nova, as well as electronic soundscapes and their own compositions – always carried by their distinctive, vibrant duo sound.

A particular concern of the duo is direct exchange with the audience. Alongside the stories their music tells, their concerts also convey a personal message about sustainability and responsible stewardship of nature. Lea Brückner says: “Sustainability and nature are part of my personal story. As musicians, we have the opportunity and the responsibility to use our voice – and I want to use mine for this cause.”

The duo’s concert tours have already taken them to Paris, Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Brussels, Tallinn, Mallorca, and Berlin. Whether in renowned concert halls, at international festivals, or as musical ambassadors at the United Nations World Food Forum: since its founding in Cremona in the summer of 2022, the Brückner-Ladányi Duo has quickly established itself as a sought-after ensemble on international stages.
